Manta FC sumó en Ambato El equipo atunero consiguió un valioso empate ante Macará El partido que abrió la décima fecha del torneo ecuatoriano de fútbol se lo jugó en el Estadio Bellavista de Ambato entre Macará y Manta FC. El cuadro atunero sumó un punto con sabor a victoria teniendo en cuenta que terminó jugando con un hombre menos y con todo el cuerpo técnico expulsado. Así al minuto 43, Roberto Mina realizó una gran jugada por derecha y metió el centro para que aparezca Jesús Vélez y con un zurdazo venza al golero macareño y ponga la primera del compromiso. Al descanso se fueron 0 x 1 a favor del atunero. En el segundo tiempo del compromiso la tónica siguió igual que en el primero pues era el cuadro celeste de Ambato el que manejaba las acciones y se aproximaba con mayor peligro, pero ahora pugnando por el empate. Así al minuto 58, tras una buena salida de la zaga macareña, el recién ingresado, Bryan Rodríguez tomó el balón y remató a puerta el g! olero atunero dio un rebote recibido por el mismo Rodríguez que volvió a rematar pero esta vez con fortuna, poniendo el empate en el score.
